I do it like Jawge exept i pull the handle with my right hand even though I am right handed, string pushed with my left hand.I step through recurvesREALLY big bows I hant strung yet, just some 80# 72"

No one uses the "over the back" method? I have become keenly aware of how easy it is to put more stress on the bottom limb than the top. I place my hands carefully to attempt to keep it somewhat even.

For bows up to 70# I use the push/pull. Over that I have to step through. Reflexed recurves are a bit trickier to brace. You need a firm grip on the handle to avoid the bow spinning in the hand.Marc
