For my preferred method, refer back to Georges post.I got sick and tired of goin to brace a bow,and sayin, wheres that stringer. One less thing to have to pack around.

Double nocks and a long double loop stringer is very simple and makes stringing even a heavy bow quite simple. Actually only one of the nocks needs to be a double one as the other can simply sit on...

No one uses the "over the back" method? I have become keenly aware of how easy it is to put more stress on the bottom limb than the top. I place my hands carefully to attempt to keep it somewhat even.

Interesting to see how others do it.I have seen a pic, maybe in TBB of a bow with two knocks at one end, and one long pin nock at the other. Not a modern creation; this was an archaeological artefact....

For bows up to 70# I use the push/pull. Over that I have to step through. Reflexed recurves are a bit trickier to brace. You need a firm grip on the handle to avoid the bow spinning in the hand.Marc
